Basic Life Support (non-regulated) - 2 hours
In-line with the Health & Safety Executive code of practice key skills.
This is a basic First Aid course that covers how to deal with an unconscious casualty along with CPR. This is a great little course for anyone, irrespective of age, who would like to learn some basic life support techniques. Although it is not an approved qualification, all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
The training enhances individual readiness, empowering individuals with the ability to take decisive action. This course plays a crucial role in potentially saving lives in emergency situations.
This 2-hour course provides essential first aid skills. It teaches how to help an unconscious person and perform CPR. It's a valuable course for anyone, regardless of age, who wants to learn basic life support techniques.
Course content
A range of subjects are covered including:
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Primary Survey
• Recovery position
• Choking
• Life Support essential information
Assessment
The is no formal assessment on this course but the instructor will ensure attendees are using the correct protocols and effective methods
Attendees will be observed performing CPR on a manikin. It is important to understand that this task must be carried out on the floor, requiring attendees to kneel.

Certification
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Basic Life Support certificate, outlining what has been covered.

Courses can be delivered in-house, at a location of your choice, or a venue arranged by us.
Included
Costs of books, handouts, bandages, manikin face-shields, lungs, and other resources are included in course fee.
Additional
If attendees are coming from a place of work, we are also able to provide essential regulatory workplace policies regarding First Aid requirements. We can provide Health and Safety Executive compliance documents and can conduct a full workplace review outlining recommendations for First Aid provision, if required.
